On November 7, 2010 the Journey of Faith Church in Manhattan Beach held our long awaited symposium, “Beginning the Conversation- Planning Ahead for the Care of an Older Loved One.” With symposium members Anne Lucas, Pamela Penson, John Reeve, Abby Waddell, David Curry, Judith Diamond, and Sandy L. Chun, we helped a group of over 100 local community members understand the process of caring for an aging relative. Topics discussed ranged from in-home care and geriatric care management, to estate planning, and long-term health insurance. Thank you to all those who made the event such a wonderful success in helping the community understand how to "Begin the Conversation."
