Adia Presents Check to San Pedro Nonprofit Organization
On November 30, Nick Arquette, Co-Founder / Director of Client Glee of Adia, presented a check for $6,810 to Toberman Neighborhood Center. Adia, an in-home personal care provider, is the chair of Networking Matters, which raised the monies as part of their fall fundraising event Oktoberfest. The event was held at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach and benefited Toberman Neighborhood Center and Peninsula Seniors.
In 2009, Nick Arquette, along with Co-Founder/ Director of Outrageous Service Pamela Penson, and a group of South Bay businesses came together and introduced the first networking event that also benefited local charities. Each year, a committee of South Bay businesses, chaired by Adia, produces an annual networking event that raises funds for two charities. The 2011 event raised over $12,000 and had over 250 attendees.
“So many companies want to give back but they do not know how. Networking Matters gives a platform for businesses to give while they attend a fun, networking event,” said Nick Arquette, Co-Founder/Director of Client Glee of Adia and Chair of Networking Matters.
This year the proceeds of the event will benefit the Toberman Neighborhood Center’s after school program Healthy Living & Learning and the Peninsula Seniors’ Quality of Life Scholarship Fund.
