Critical Care / Long Term Care

Critical Care: Adia provides customized skilled care for people in need of bathing or showering, climbing out of bed, walking to the bathroom, eating food, assistance with dressing, toileting, personal hygiene and incontinence care.  When you or a loved one is stricken with a degenerative condition such as a stroke or Alzheimer's, performing these activities becomes impossible without the assistance of another person.  Our personal care assistants for these types of services are certified nurse assistant (CNA), licensed vocational nurse(LVN), registered nurse (RN), nursing student, medicl assistant (MA), homehealth aid (HHA) or non-certified caregiver with a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience are skilled, trained and compassionate.  This service has a three (3) hour minimum and can be arranged within 24 hours of the initial home assesment visit.  At Adia, our priority is to ensure you or a loved one feel comfortable with the personal care assistant assigned to the care.  Within the first week of care, an Adia Friendship Care Coordinator or Supervisor will check-in with you to confirm everyone is happy, safe and comfortable.

Long Term Care: Adia provides two types of long term care: Live-in and 24/7 live-out.  The live-in services includes two personal care assistants (weekday and weekend).  The personal care assistants work during the day and sleep at night.  In contrast to the live-in service, the 24/7 live-out service includes 2-twelve hour work shifts per day for 7 days (or less than 7 days).  The personal care assistants for each shift are awake, alert and ready to assist at any time during their work shift.
